Aarne Heikkila is a Senior Investigative Producer for NBC News based in Los Angeles. He’s produced award winning stories for NBC Nightly News, the TODAY Show and NBCNews.com and has spearheaded numerous investigative series, including two “Captives of Cannabis” documentaries which examine the rise in black market marijuana grows run by Chinese criminal organizations. Prior to becoming a journalist, he lived and worked in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and completed a Mandarin language course in Taiwan. He is a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism.
